Alimamy Almon-Sall Kamara, popularly known as Almon Sall, a model in Freetown, has for the second time been nominated for the African Designers Award (AFDA) 2024 among other incredible models across the continent.
The event will be taking place at Lagos’ Oriental Hotel in Nigeria on 17th of November, 2024.
According to Sall, the nomination came as a result of his hard work, God’s blessings and the support he gets from his fans.
He said, “Hi Guys.I’m excited to let you all know that for the second time, I have been nominated for the African Fashion Designers Award – 2024, under the category of Male model of the year. Being the recipient of last year’s award, this is truly a manifestation of my hard and smart work. They say that growth is a gradual process, and it is indeed. With the help of a few good people around me, I have single-handedly carried the weight of being successful on my shoulder, competing internationally with Sierra Leone’s flag on my back. I do that as a way of expressing my patriotism for my country, and I hope we all do the same. Together, we can nurture our country’s creative industry to compete with the rest of the world.”
Sall called on Sierra Leoneans to vote for him so as to bring the trophy to Sierra Leone for the second time. He added that to vote one should click on https://africanfashiondesigneraward.com/vote/almon-sall-kamara-2/.
” Sierra Leoneans, let us make this history together. Who said winnings can’t be earned consecutively? Through my hard work as a model, the organization has been following me all this time. Last year, I was nominated by the organization among models, and I was the winner of the category. This year again, the organization has nominated me,” he stated joyfully.
Over the years, Sall had won several national and international awards, including ‘Housemate Salone Season 3’ in 2022, second runner-up in Mister Glam International 2021, among others.
