Sierra Leone: 6 Yr.-old could be winner of NEA 2020 Best Young Rapper Award

Goodluck Mansaray, aka, Goodluck, a 6 year old rapper has been nominated for the National Entertainment Award (NEA) as the best young artist of the year 2020.

Goodluck is a young and multi talented kid who started his musical career in Kabala in 2018, where he attended the Christian Reform Church (CRC) Primary School from class one to two.

He is also into acting, writes poetry and also does music.  He has recorded a song titled ‘Bos Mi Balloon’ his first song which he has followed up with other hits.

As a kid with great potentials, his talents have been recognized by former President, Ernest Bai Koroma and the current President Julius Maada Bio. Both have described him as a perfect example of child education.

Goodluck rose to prominence in 2019 after releasing a blockbuster mix tapes titled: “Goodluck freestyle” and “U bet?” which earned him an award for Best Young Artist in the National Entertainment Award (NEA).

He is widely accredited for being the first and youngest rapper in Sierra Leone.

His extremely tight lyrics and mind-blowing stage performances have won him honor in the country’s music industry.

Goodluck currently lives in Freetown where he attends SOS Hermann Gmeiner International School. He is also being thoroughly coached in his musical career.

He does Hip-hop, Afro-pop and Rap as his genre of music.

His father is a retired long distance running athlete who relocated with his family to his home town in Kabala, Koinadugu District.
