Sierra Leone Ambassador to Egypt, Morie Fofana has been honored in Egypt to officially open the first-ever export and trade fair organized by Hnsana W. Nsadar in Cairo during an official ceremony held on Thursday, February 11, 2021. The ceremony was themed: “we will produce and export”.
The aim of the Trade Fair is to bring together thousands of local investors in the Small and Medium Enterprises sector to showcase how far Egyptians have gone to creating their own business ideas that will make them self-sufficient.
In his opening statement, Ambassador Fofana commended the businessmen and women who put their capital together to ensure that they get and display different products during the fair.
He applauded the business women and called on investors to invest in the Small and Medium Enterprises sector.
“In spite of the COVID-19 situation, there is a need to invest in capacity building for vulnerable women and youth in society. The issues of Women and Young people are top priority of the Government of Sierra Leone in achieving 2030 Sustainable Development Goals,” Amb. Fofona said.
Ambassador Fofona cited that their efforts were geared towards enhancing the welfare and comfort of people, adding that welfare is not only limited to money, but to ensure that their dreams come true.
The founder of Hnsana W Nsadar, Dr. Hana El Husseiny, said that the company is ready to sign cooperative agreement with the Sierra Leone Embassy, adding that they would also provide expertise to Sierra Leoneans who are involved in such business.
“The Embassy should help to facilitate business venture in Sierra Leone. It is necessary to develop strategy that would enable the opening of businesses in the country; such strategy would entail courses so that Sierra Leoneans would be train on middle level man power in natural production,” Dr. El Husseiny said.
