Sierra Leone: As Musa Tombo arrives home again, John Keister calls for prayers for him

John Keister, the Head Coach of Leone Star, has on Tuesday February 9, 2021, called on the nation to offer prayers for Musa Noah Kamara, aka Musa Tombo over his controversial decision to abandon the prospect of a lucrative contract in Europe to return to Sierra Leone, for the second time in two years.

The East End Lions striker went on a football trial with the prospect of being contracted in Norway.

“Tuesday was another sad day for me, and one that I will never forget. It’s very easy to make judgments around situations you know nothing about…and today I want people to change perceptions around MUSA TOMBO….its breaks my heart as a dad that has kids of my own…have brought this boy from his humble beginnings to slowly developing into something that will benefit not just him and his family but Sierra Leone. I only hope for God to cover him with his grace for him to grow…from being the young boy he is…going through the difficulties our environments brings,” keister said.

Keister also asked for the nation to support Kamara, whom he described as an “innocent boy”. “This is not a time to JUDGE….him but he needs everyone’s support in whatever way….think of this boy as your son, friend and brother that needs you now,” he concluded.

It could be recalled that this is not the first time Musa Noah Kamara has asked to be returned home after he went for trials.  The first time it was in Sweden, where Musa Noah Kamara cancelled his contract with swedish club Trellesborg FF.

According to audio making around in different WhatsApp group, at that time Musa said he want to return home because of the cold weather in Sweden, and he was not comfortable in Sweden. “Now we are hearing that he was trying to fight the authorities in Norway.

He even went to the extent of committing  suicide if they delayed in buying a flight ticket for him to return home within 24hrs.
