The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has on Friday December 11, 2020, recognised Bollore Transport and Logistics, a subsidiary of Freetown Terminal, for the timely payment of its staff social security contributions to the Trust.
The company received the compliant award “for fully complying with the provisions of the NASSIT Act No. 5 of July 2001 for the 2020 Financial Year”.
Bollore is one of few companies to be recognised by NASSIT at an award ceremony organised by the Trust at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown.
Apart from meeting its statutory obligation to its staff, Bollore has been in the lead in developing the human resource capital of the country.
Under the leadership of Capt. Fabjanko Kokan, local staff of the company had been trained in marketable skills that were lacking in the country. Today Sierra Leoneans who constitute over 98 percent of the company’s workforce could boost of various qualifications in port management.
In addition, the company has a fantastic health policy for its staff. The company spent Le 2.5 billion in health cover for its staff in the previous year, and health policy covers employees, their spouses and dependents.
