Sierra Leone: Cloud Diamond Multimedia Releases Nonviolence Song

Bernard Johnson aka Bed J., the Chief Executive Officer of Cloud Diamond Multimedia, a local entertainment platform, has on Thursday June 12, 2020, informed Premier News that the organization has released a nonviolence song titled: ‘Violence Nor Make Sense.’

Bed J. said that the idea to release the single had been born out of the need to curtail recurrence of violence in the country amidst COVID-19. He said violence in society mostly affect the youths. He further informed that the song advises people to stay focus on national development instead of violence.

“During the outbreak of the virus in the country, violence has been happening which is affecting mostly the youths. Youths in such situations will graduate to another level of violence which will lead to war. We released this song ‘Violence Nor Make Sense’ because we don’t want war in Sierra Leone anymore,” he said.

Johnson added that the media had collaborated with more than 40 musicians, some upcoming and other established musicians, to spread their advice on Non-violence far and wide.

Johnson further explained that the Media was established in 2013 aiming at helping young talented Sierra Leoneans reach their dreams of being musicians, and claimed that the media had promoted many Sierra Leoneans into being significant participants in the entertainment industry, and who have also contributed greatly to the development of the entertainment industry in the country.

Bed J. said that because the media has been efficient, and had been producing good songs they have won many awards, and have been nominated several times. He emphasized, “In 2019 to 2020 the media won the best song of the year with the track: ‘You Mama Know’ which was done by Coco Rhymes, Bed J. and Strokes.” He further stated that the media had eight nominations between 2019 and 2020.

He said that the media made a song to sensitize Sierra Leoneans before and another titled: ‘We Shall Over Come’ after the outbreak of Corona in the country.
