Sierra Leone Cricket Association receives more Equipment

The Sierra Leone Cricket Association has announced that it has received a donation of cricket equipment from England. The donation ranged from brand new high-quality bats, gloves, pads, helmets, and many other items and it was made following an appeal from Darren Talbot, High-Performance Manager.

The Association’s media department had informed the press that  Michael Hunton of Goa Cricket Tours, Ashtead Cricket Club, Bat 4 A Chance Plus Andy Wales and Woking & Horsell CC all made significant contributions towards the donation.

Commenting on the donation while receiving the items in Freetown, Francis Trevor Samura, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sierra Leone Cricket Association said, “We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone for their generosity. We will ensure that this donation is used to expand our development program and to support the community.”

Speaking to some of the players he used words of appreciation and happiness and added that the equipment will help the Association prepare for coming international competitions.
