The second annual Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference (SLDIC) will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States, the Curator, SLDIC 2024, said in a statement on Thursday.
Vickie Remoe said, “This one-day event will unite 250 policymakers, entrepreneurs, Sierra Leoneans, and Americans passionate about Sierra Leone’s economic growth.”
“The year’s theme, which will guide our discussions and activities, is ‘Navigating the Local and Global Marketplace: Opportunities for Diaspora Entrepreneurs and Investors’.”
She said that their primary goal is to connect and foster business partnerships between Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora and at home.
