The Sierra Leone DJs’ Union (SLeDU) has recently appointed DJ Jesse as acting president to complete DJ Lawva, now deceased, remaining term of office.
Appointing,
The Union on February 12, 2023 met in Freetown and collectively chose DJ Jesse as their substantive president in accordance with their constitution.
According to the Union, as a result of the letter of interest DJ Jesse tendered to them, they were able to give him the position.
The Union said, “The constitution makes provision for a situation when a president couldn’t finish his term of office due to illness or natural occurrence; the Union is at liberty to appoint an interim president to complete the remaining term. So, DJ Jesse was unanimously approved by other DJs in the country to rule as president in place of the late DJ Lawva.”
