Bayoh Family, Winner for the 2020 Family of the Year competition

Melvin Koso-Coomber, the Pastor-in-Charge, said that the celebration was to show appreciation to God for keeping them together as a family.  He added that they are only alive by God’s grace, and cited ailments such as the Coronavirus epidemic which has killed many worldwide.   “No one can save you out of any misfortune except God, so we are grateful to Him, and that has been the reason to celebrate this day today,” he further remarked

He revealed that they have been celebrating the annual thanksgiving and family service for over seven years now, adding the service would unite and strengthen the members of the church to work as a family.

“Unity brings blessings and development. Unity is strength, power and It could enable people to achieve anything. You would never succeed alone. So I am very happy to celebrate this day today with my family and seeing all of them with happy faces,” he emphasized.

He advised that the only solution to problems in ones life and family is God, and called on people who are yet to dedicate their lives to God to do so.

“If you have already dedicated your life to God, you should be thankful to the Almighty, because He is the only solution,” he concluded.

The Thanksgiving and Family Day service was climaxed by the Family of the Year competition with the Bayoh Family emerging as Winner for this year 2020 and the Leigh-Koroma Family as the runner-up.
