Amara Turay, popularly known as Kao Denero, a renowned Sierra Leonean hip hop star has agreed to open a Sierra Leone Entertainment Website named Sierra Leone Entertainment. This came few days after being appointed as the special Ambassador for Entertainment and Investment by the Government of Sierra Leone.
According to Kao, the aim of creating the website is to ensure that people have quality browsing when checking out for all the new updates on Sierra Leone entertainment.
“National Sierra Leone Entertainment has been long overdue, a place where you can browse and check out all the latest updates on various acts, producers, actors, directors, comedians, DJs, and bloggers. A page dedicated to veteran from Ebenezer Calendar to Dr. Oloh. Sierra Leone Entertainmnet.Com will soon be a reality. I am looking forward to my first press conference.”
It is a fact that Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry have over the years been struggling to compete internationally due to improper structure and the poor marketing system.
Kao said, “80% of Sierra Leonean content should be on all our radio stations, hotels, bars and clubs with monitoring teams working with the DJs nationwide to make sure that was established. Imagine top quality Sierra Leone music on all international flights arriving along with our entertainment magazine?”
