Sierra Leone: Kwame releases single

Christian Kwame Coker, popularly known as Kwame Omele, a local musician is releasing a new song today Friday February 5, 2021. The song is titled ‘Party’, and it features Coco Rhymes, another local musician.

According to Kwame, the track is themed on love and it describes the feelings which ran through him by a lady while she danced in a club.

He said love has no limits, and maintained that even in a club one could find a partner. “There are some steps which some ladies do in the club which move you even if you don’t want to. And once you get hooked by their steps you would have no control over yourself,” he explained.

Kwame does Afro Dance Hall, Reggae and RnB.

He said that his songs are themed on contemporary issues in society and love, and has released songs like: “My Sonita”, where he featured  Mic Junho, “I found you” where he featured “Bacris Jay”, “Its Friday”, and “Oba Yanda” etc.

I usually get inspiration to write my lyrics when I’m stressed.

He said that he was motivated by Mic Junho, a colleague, to do music. Kwame said that he has encountered lots of challenges before getting to where he is today, saying that with patients and consistent practices he was able to overcome all those challenges.

“Doing what you like required lots of sacrifices, patience, hard work, faith and everyday practices before getting what you want,” he said.

He said that he believed that music would one day change his story in life.
