Sierra Leone: Musicians reconcile after 4-year -conflict

Local musicians: Aruna Kargbo commonly known as Coco Rhymes and Abu bakar Koroma aka Hero Black have recently reconciled at the Philtown Loung Bar and Restaurant in the West of Freetown after four years of conflict.

Coco Rhymes stated that they had been in bad terms for over four years for reasons best known and which they do not want to the public to know about.

“We have realized our mistakes and learnt lessons out of them. I realized that, no matter what the misunderstanding maybe, we should not allow it to reach to a certain peak because it will lead to backwardness of one’s dreams. We should be examples to the upcoming musicians and our fans. Love is the answer,” he added.

He said that they now believe in peace and that without love they could not achieve anything but failure.

Hero Black explained that he started his relationship with Coco Rhymes in JSS II when he attended Albert Academy whilst Coco Rhymes attended The Government Rokel Secondary School in JSS II as well.

He said, “Coco Rhymes been a talented musician, asked him to join the Dream Team, a musical label where I used to serve as CEO. But later, everything went wrong between us which led to our separation.”

He continued, “In life, we all come across unwanted things.I don’t want to explain what has happened between us.it was a mistake and I am very happy that we all have realized our mistakes. We are brothers now and ever.”

He said that the reconciliation would help them greatly in the industry, because they would be able to promote each other in so many ways.

“I thanked God and our best Real Mike who made this reconciliation happened,” he concluded.

However, when asked the cause of their conflict both musicians refused to explain the source of the conflict insisting that they would rather bury the past and forget their differences without making any public disclosures as to the reasons.
