Sources close to the Bo East Police Division have revealed that in the early hours of Tuesday December 8, 2020, a Guinean truck with registration no RC 5803, which was heading to Kenema from Bo crashed into the Bebeh Bridge, few kilometers from Bo.
The incident leaves one person dead and several others with a serious injury.
According to reliable sources, the said vehicle which was driven by one Sedu Saw, was loaded with onions, and was heading to Kenema when one of its front tyres busted. As a result, the sources state, the driver lost control of the said vehicle which eventually plunged into the Bebeh Bridge hanging into the bridge vertically.
A man by the name of Alimamy Kanu, alias Two One, was fatally injured and his remains were conveyed to the Kenema Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
The driver and three other passengers (Osman Jabbie, Gibril Barrie and Ishmael Barrie) also sustained seriously bodily injuries, and and one is said to said to have been amputated and all of them are said to be have been admitted at the Kenema Government Hospital where they are responding to treatment.
Meanwhile, police at the traffic division of the Bo East Division are investigating the cause of the said accident.
