Detective Sergeant 1516 Conteh Abu attached to the crime writers/ exhibit office, C.I.D headquarters, Pademba Road has on Tuesday June 23, 2020 presented three old cutlasses and an old red t-shirt as exhibit before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of Court No.1 on Pademba Road in a matter in which six persons are accused of kidnapping Nathaniel Lamin, a police officer.
The six accused person, Emmanuel Gbla, David Gbla, Mohamed Gbla, Alie Kamara, Abdul Bangura and Abdulai Kamara are also charged with conspiracy, wounding with intent, assault, resisting police arrest, malicious damage and carrying offensive weapons.
According to the witness his prime duty as an Exhibit Clerk at the CID Headquarters is to ensure the safe keeping of all exhibits brought to the office in respect of cases reported and investigated and to produce them in court when needed.
He said on 3rd May, 2020 while he was on duty at the C.I.D headquarters, detective Inspector B.A Munu attached to the breaking and larceny syndicate handed over to him exhibits in respect case of the Kidnap of Police Officer Nathaniel Lamin.
He said as is his duty he took possession of them, registered them in the court exhibit book as against serial number 44/2020.
The six accused persons allegedly on Tuesday March 17, 2020, at Mamanoh Village in the Mamutamasoyoh Chiefdom, Tonkolili district conspired and conducted themselves riotously and in the process, unlawfully took and carry away Detective Sergeant, 7864 Nathaniel Lamin.
