The Sierra Leone Mobile and Digital Awards in a press release issued on Friday December 11th, 2020 has disclosed that Thelia Production, organizers of the yearly Sierra Leone Mobile and Digital Economy Summit and Expo, will hold a maiden annual Sierra Mobile and Digital Awards (SMDA) in collaboration with Kingdom Edge Consult and Mercy TV to celebrate the mobile and digital providers in Sierra Leone.
The release went on to state that Sierra Mobile and Digital Awards is a unique platform that identifies and celebrates organizations and individuals who continue to strive to provide services and information to the general populace in a bid to bridge the digital divide between Sierra Leone and the advanced economies in spite of the recent challenges posed by the Corona global pandemic.
According to Daniel Moore, Chief Executive Officer Thelia Productions,“after due diligence by our team’s research and analysis we are pleased to announce nominations for this year’s awards in Sierra Leone.”
He further explained that there will be a public presentation of the Award at a dinner where all deserving organizations and individuals will be acknowledged and celebrated.
“We will be producing a short video of each recipient as citation for the awards dinner and this will also be played back on national TV within a week after the Dinner,” Mr. Moore added.
He however disclosed that the said Awards and Dinner is set for the 21st of December 2020 at the newly refurbished Sierra Light House Hotels in Aberdeen.
Moreover, each nominee also has the opportunity of attending or sending two reps to a Content Creation and Management workshop in the morning at 9:00 am while the dinner will start at 7:00 pm at the same venue at no additional cost.
