Sierra Leone: Teen Rapper to Release 60 Bars Rap

Kadiatu B.Sesay, aka Miss Success, a 14-year-old Rapper is set to release a sixty bars rap with no chorus before the end of the year.

She disclosed this to Premier News on Monday November 16, 2020.She also explained that the song aims at engendering a change of attitude among promoters, entertainers and other stakeholders in the music industry in Sierra Leone. He accuses them of not appereciating and promoting Sierra Leones’ entertainement industry, but on the contrary  mismanaging resources which has led to the backwardness of the entertainment industry in Sierra Leone.

Success revealed that she would soon release her third album titled ‘D Mammy Na Area’ which will inform the public on her potential as young talented musician, her community and the nation as whole.

She said that she grew up listenting to Star Zero’s songs due to her  unique style of rapping and her choice of words.

She encouraged parents to support kids with musical talent  in order to help them explore the world through.

Suceess is a young rapper who started her journey as a musician  at  gage 4, and she recorded a single titled ‘Team Star Get Concern for Salone Pikin Dem’ at age 6.

According to the fourteen-year-old, career musicians are easily recognized. She added that music builds ones self confidence and self- reliance  and also serves as a source of income to potential musicians who are able to make the big breakthrough.

Success is the youngest female rapper in Sierra Leone and she has featured Sierra Leone music stars like: Nigger Don of Lxg, Pizzy formerly known as P.M., Black Snoop, Pat Man, Wason, Slim G, Chubby Asa and Alieu Melody.

Success has recorded two albums. She stated that in January 1st 2018, she released her first album ‘Wonder’ and on the 29th February 2020 her second, titled ‘We Dae Wait’.

 “Music makes me happy even when I’m sad. I sing music in the  showers, in school and wherever I go, I go with music.”

She says that she is inspired to effect change by the social ills which she observes and writes about in her songs. “I do not rap becuase I have the talent, but toeffect  change in the society,” she concluded.
