As part of its Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) has on Saturday, March 19, 2023, awarded more than 120 staff for the meritorious service at a well- attended event at the Family Kingdom in Freetown.
The awards – gold, silver and bronze categories – were presented to staff from different branches of the bank that had being serving for at least 15 years.
Osman Barrie and Tamba James are the longest serving staff of the bank. They received the gold award for serving the bank for 41 years. Other awardees who received the gold award include Fatmata Binta Bah, Abu Daramy Kargbo, Adama B Bai-Marrow and Sylvia O Eule. They have served the bank for 36 years. Ann Marie Tengbeh received the gold award for serving the institution for 35 years.
The Managing Director of the Bank, Yusufu Abdul Silla said the 50th Anniversary of the bank is an important milestone to all the distinguished long serving staff who had been awarded for their uninterrupted service to the bank.
He added that it is a special day to recognize and show gratitude to staff of the bank as they have dedicated their time and commitment to see the growth of the bank.
Silla pointed out that the awardees had created a shining path that will serve as an inspiration to others. He also appreciated colleagues who would be retiring this year for their relentless service to the bank.
The Director of Human Resources, Arthur B.S. Cole said that the award is an appreciation to colleagues who had being serving the bank for considerable period with loyalty and commitment.
He added that the awards will help to solidify the bond among colleagues. He urged his colleagues to continue to work in earnest to ensure that the bank continue to strive in the sector.
