The Sierra Leone Football Association has over the weekend announced through a media release that its 2023 Ordinary Congress will run from the 4th, 5th, and 6th of July at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown.
The release further stated that the entire membership of the Regional Football Associations from across the country is expected to converge on the said dates to deliberate issues pertinent to the development of Football in Sierra Leone.
The Head of Media SLFA, Ibrahim Kamara, informed the public that the deliberations will be broadcast live on all official SLFA media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube).
The release also stated that some of the prominent media institutions (Radio, Print, TV, and Blog) from across the country have been invited to attend and provide coverage of the congress.
This will be the first congress since the new President Thomas Daddy Brima, took over the reins of administration at the Sierra Leone Football Association the in June 2021. Brima succeeded Isha Johansen after securing a total of 31 votes from the polls to defeat his contender for the leadership of the SLFA, Sadick Deen-Nyarkoh who pulled 26 votes to begin his four-year term.
