SWASAL Launches Website and Code of Conduct

The Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL) on Thursda,y May 5, 2022 officially launched its website, Code of Conduct, Logo and special edition of its Sports World Newspaper at the Harry Yansaneh Hall, SLAJ Headquarters  in Freetown.

In his opening remark, chairman of the occasion Alhaji Komba applauded the Executive SWASAL for such a laudable initiative in building the association.

Secretary General of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mr. Christopher Kamara commanded SWASAL for taken a brilliant step in ensuring the association meets the currents global standards.

Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, United Bank of Africa, Mr. Sallieu Sesay also praised SWASAL for going Digital. He registered the bank’s commitment to supporting the association.

Ann Marie Badara Jalloh who represented the Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, congratulated SWASAL Executive for joining the trend. “We have been working with SWASAL and we will continue as partners in ensuring we all reach our goal,” she said.

Sahr Morris Jr, president of Sports Writers Association Sierra Leone, thanked everyone for their time and support. He called for more support towards helping the executive to enable them to do more during the rebranding of SWASAL which is the oldest affiliate body to Sierra Leone Associations of Journalists (SLAJ). He called on other sporting associations to continue supporting SWASAL in return for publicity.

He said that the code could help members work within the ambit of the laws as professionals.
