This Year We Will Combine Traditional Boxing Day Sports with the Club Championship…SLAA President

President of the Sierra Leone Athletics Association (SLAA), Martin Momoh Bangura, announced that this year’s Traditional Boxing Day Sports will be integrated with the Club Championship, following the postponement of the latter due to financial constraint.

Bangura made this announcement during an executive meeting held on October 12, 2024. He stated that both events will take place at the Bo Mini Stadium from December 23 to December 26, 2024, as the national stadium is currently undergoing refurbishment.

The SLAA President emphasized the association’s commitment to ensuring athletes perform at their best, noting that selections for those representing Sierra Leone will be based strictly on performance.

With this initiative, the SLAA aims to enhance this year’s competition, generating excitement and promoting outstanding performances for both athletes and spectators.

The SLAA is tasked with overseeing all athletics activities in Sierra Leone, operating under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority.
