The letter urged the International Community to ensure that the Government of Sierra Leone takes concrete measures to redress marginalization of women. The Letter also mentioned the slow progress of the Tribunal set-up to hear Lara’s allegations of misconducts, and also failure of the supreme court to hear her case filed challenging the decision of for her suspension, which they considered as lack of interest and violation of basic constitutional right to access court and denial of fair trial.
