The World Health Organization (WHO) Sierra Leone has on Monday, August 12, 2024, donated six fairly used vehicles and one brand new minibus to the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The handing-over ceremony which was witnessed by representatives of WHO and the ministry of health took place at the WHO country office in Freetown.
The WHO Representative, Dr. Innocent Bright Nuwagira said that the vehicles would improve service delivery and strengthen healthcare service in Sierra Leone.
He said that WHO would continue to support the country to ensure improved service delivery in the health sector.
In appreciation, the Minister of Health, Dr. Austin Demby said that the vehicles would be used to monitor the work of the ministry across the country, adding that he will ensure that the vehicles are used for the intended purpose.
